Crawfest is an annual music, food and arts festival, located on Tulane University's uptown campus. Each year 10,000 - 12,000 community members and students enjoy 12 bands, 16,000+ pounds of crawfish and stand after stand of local food and art vendors. Crawfest 2012 will be held on April 21st.

Our music committee is currently working on booking bands for Crawfest 2012. The official lineup will be announced in February.

In the past, Crawfest has featured amazing artists such as Givers, Anders Osborne, Trombone Shorty, JJ Grey and Mofro, The Radiators, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Flow Tribe, 101 Runners, Rebirth Brass Band, Jon Cleary, Billy Iuso and the Revivalists.

Where and When is Crawfest this year?
Crawfest 2012 is on Saturday April 21st from 11:00 am - 9:00 pm on Tulane University's Uptown Campus located: Tulane University, 31 McAlister Drive, New Orleans, LA 70118 (between Willow St. & Freret St.)
How can I get involved with Crawfest?
The easiest way to get involved with Crawfest is to volunteer to work on the day of the event. Tasks may include band help, working the entrances, t-shirt sales, and more. E-mail tulanecrawfest@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer or want to hear more about a certain position.

If you are a Tulane student you can apply at the end of the Spring semester for a position on the Crawfest Board. Positions include Festival Chair, Music Chair, Marketing Chair, Public Relations Chair, Resource Chair, Logistics Chair, Internal and External Sponsorship Chairs, Art and Food Vendor Chairs, Music Production Chair and Ways and Means Chair. Each chair has an assistant and some have sub-committees as well. The application process will take place after Crawfest 2012.
How do I get one of those awesome Crawfest t-shirts?
You can purchase a limited time Crawfest 2012 T-shirt for only $10 at the Crawfest booth in front of the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life on Tulane's Campus the week before Crawfest. The only way for Tulane students and faculty to receive their Crawfest bracelet before April 21st is by purchasing a Crawfest t-shirt! Also, Crawfest volunteers receive a free t-shirt. If you would like to volunteer for Crawfest on the day of the event or in the weeks prior to the event e-mail crawfestvoluneteer@gmail.com.
How is Crawfest funded?
Crawfest is funded generously by the Tulane Undergraduate Student Government (USG) each year. In addition to this sponsorship, Crawfest also typically receives sponsorship from the Graduate and Professional Student Association of Tulane University, Tulane University Student Affairs, Tulane University Residence Hall Association, Newcomb-Tulane College, Tulane Undergraduate Admissions, NOLA.com, Where Y'at Magazine, Tulane University Alumni Affairs, Louisiana Public Health Institute, and The Well-Center for Wellness and Health Promotion. How much does Crawfest cost?
Admission to Crawfest is free and open to the public, however the crawfish are not. If you are a Tulane student, faculty or staff, crawfish and drinks are free. For everyone else crawfish and unlimited drink cost only $10 per person. Kids under 12 are $5.00.
What is the alcohol policy at Crawfest?
While alcohol is not sold at Crawfest, it can be consumed by anyone 21 and over. Crawfest does not allow coolers, glass, or cans into the event but plastic and drinks in cups are allowed. Beer is available for sale in The Rat, located in the basement of the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life (adjacent to the Quad where Crawfest will be). Beer/Liquor will also be on sale at The Boot Store, located at Broadway St. & Zimple St. (a 3 minute walk from Crawfest).
Will parking be available?
Parking is available in the Diboll Complex, located on Tulane's Uptown campus (entrance on Ben Weiner Drive). Parking is also available free on the weekends in surrounding neighborhoods of Tulane's campus.
